About Me
If I had to describe myself as a mother, I'd say I'm raising adventurers.
Our home is full of muddy football boots, creative projects, big conversations, belly laughs, and the quiet belief that almost anything is possible with curiosity, consistency and commitment. We believe childhood should be magical, filled with imagination and play, while also learning that greatness is built one small, dedicated step at a time.
I'm very hands-on, but I never want to walk the path for my children. My role is to encourage, guide and remind them that they're capable of more than they realise. Thankfully, they have a father who shares that philosophy completely. He's present every step of the way, cheering them on, helping them through challenges, and showing them what dedication looks like.
Our daughter, Kalli, has taught us the power of quiet determination through her commitment to football, while our six-year-old son, Bryce, reminds us daily that we're often his students. With boundless energy and a love for football, basketball and athletics, he approaches life with joy, curiosity and the belief that every day is an adventure.
Above all, we're raising children who know that kindness and character matter most, and that with imagination, hard work and a little fun, extraordinary things can happen.
My Requirements
My daughter, Kalli, is 10 years old. We've recently registered with Bedales Prep and will be applying for a full-tuition bursary. This is all completely new to us. Unfortunately, we didn't realise this was even an option until a few months ago, so we're now working against the clock, with Kalli's 11+ exams taking place in January 2027.
Kalli currently attends a lower-performing state primary school in East London. While we've done everything we can to support her learning at home, she'll benefit from some focused preparation to give her the best possible chance at this incredible opportunity. Bedales seem genuinely impressed with Kalli. She's one of the top students in her class, understands the value of dedication and commitment, and they've recognised her unique personality, strong sense of integrity, and clear vision for her future.
Kalli isn't afraid of hard work. She's demonstrated this through her commitment to football, earning a place at academy level after successful trials with Charlton Athletic. She only discovered football three seasons ago and has worked her way up through determination, training six days a week and continuing throughout the holidays.
She's gentle, creative, and can be a little shy at first, but with a bit of encouragement she quickly becomes a chatty, goofy character. I've raised observations of possible AuDHD, although this is currently mild and undiagnosed. Her mind can wander, and she can sometimes become quietly overwhelmed.
The main areas we'd like support with are vocabulary, articulation, communication, and preparing for the style of thinking and learning expected in the 11+ process.
Outside of football, Kalli loves comic books, skateboarding, guitar, chess, and imaginative play. She despises chapter books, peas... and injustice!
