About the RoleWe are looking for a patient, energetic, and proactive SEN Nanny to support our six-year-old autistic son over the summer holidays. Both parents work from home, so this is a hybrid "shared care" environment. We will be on-site for emergencies, but we need an independent nanny who can confidently manage our son's day, keep him deeply engaged, and respect the workspace boundaries of a home office.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate a structured but fun daily schedule to bridge the gap during school holidays.Plan sensory-friendly activities, outdoor trips, and active play to burn energy.Confidently manage transitions between home, outings, and parental interactions.Apply positive behavior reinforcement and sensory strategies for emotional regulation.Prepare simple, healthy snacks and lunches, keeping his play areas tidy.RequirementsDemonstrated experience with autistic children, specifically around emotional regulation.Comfortable working in a home where parents are working from home.Strong boundary-setting skills to keep the child focused and calm while parents work.Enhanced DBS check and valid pediatric first aid certificate.A driving license and own car are highly desirable for local outings.
