About Me
Hi! I'm Lou, founder of Loulou's Explorers, registered childminder and qualified teacher.
We delight in providing personal, professional care for children 0 - 5 years from our dedicated and beautiful playroom within my home.
I work with assistants who share my passion for providing quality and inventive opportunities to encourage play! We all firmly believe that through play, opportunities to learn and develop skills are fostered. At the very heart of my service is an caring, stimulating atmosphere in which children can have fun, be themselves and feel valued as individuals.
Above all we want the children we care for to be happy an when in our care! Happy children play, explore, engage, challenge themselves, critically think, investigate and thrive!
My Experience
I spent a happy 13 years as a qualified Primary School Teacher leading KS1 and KS2 as well as being specific subject lead. I gained many qualifications and acclamations that included deputy Safeguarding lead. I have worked across the primary age range including teaching in a nursery class. I have since gained Level 3 Children's Care, Play, Learning and development, and first aid certificate. I continue to make professional development a priority and have undertaken training in positive behaviour strategies and trained in delivering Curriculum for Wales 2022.
My Qualifications
BA (hons) Primary Studies QTS, Safe Guarding, First Aid, Level 3 Children's Care, Play, Learning and development.
My Availability
My service opens at 8am and closes at 5/5:30pm. I provide lunch and snacks in between meals. I offer pick up and drop off to Overmonnow Preschool children.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.25 per hour
A 7 hour session costs £57.25 and includes lunch and snacks. Additional hours can be arranged for £7.25 per hour.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Overmonnow C.P. School
