My name is Marilù, I'm Italian, extremely fluent in the English language and since two languages weren't enough, I've been studying Korean for the last 8 years!!! In my "younger years I worked as a Dancer, Dance teacher and Choreographer ( including with children ) after gaining a 1st Class BA hons in Visual & Performing Arts. Thus making music and dance an inherent aspect of my childcare duties and experience.
My Experience
I have worked in child care for over 30 years acquiring considerable experience working with children aged 2 to 11 years; in a variety of roles: nanny, Dance Leader, Key Worker/nursery assistant in play group/ pre-school settings and Play Worker in after school clubs. ( please note: as part of my Key Worker/nursery assistant experience, I have also worked in a MONTESSORI school for over a year; therefore I am not Montessori trained ....but there was no options in the tags for "Montessori method experience....)
Since gaining my Level 2 qualification in Child Care, learning and Development in 2006, I have acquired considerable experience in the EYFS guide lines with an emphasis on providing learning opportunities through play.
My working practice , coupled with the importance of being a positive Role Model at all time, is constantly informed by the EYFS guide lines, with the necessary foundation to understand the needs of young children.
For example a free flow playing, safe but stimulating environment with an emphasis on providing learning opportunities is paramount in supporting and extending children’s development and learning.
....but I'm also, just simply, LOTS of fun to be around!!! =)
My Qualifications
Degree of Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Visual & Performing Arts
NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development.
Level 2 Certificate in Paediatric First Aid
BTEC Professional Diploma, Dance & Choreography
Dance Leaders in the Community Certificate.

My schedule is quite open at the moment so please get in touch with suggested hours.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
Ideally hourly rates, But in these unprecedented times I'm happy to negotiate a set daily, weekly or monthly fee.
