About Me
Hello, my name is Rosa, a qualified midwife and doula from Devon. I recently returned from living in Spain, where I studied traditional midwifery in the Alpujarra mountains for 9 months. Living off-grid in my van meant I spent a lot of my spare time playing with and learning from the children I was lucky enough to live with.
My Experience
Throughout my training as a midwife I had the privilege of caring for many women and their babies. The opportunity to support women and their families at the biggest point of their life taught me a lot about intuition and personalised care. Every woman and baby I cared for was different and individualising their care was something I took great pleasure in. During my training, I also spent time nannying for a local family, picking two children up from school and cycling home with them, preparing food, reading, playing and resting. Caring for children comes very naturally to me. It's something I genuinely enjoy doing and have been doing since my childhood. I have two sisters and have regularly babysat throughout my life. I have also spent time caring for a child with Down syndrome, which has taught me creativity, patience and being lead by a child and their needs.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor of Midwifery (received in 2024).
My Availability
I am flexible during the week, ideally wanting to work regular hours and days. I am away for the most of October and can occasionally work weekends.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
I am flexible around fee's but my starting rate is £14 an hour.
