About Me
I am a ofsted registered childminder & graded good at my last inspection 2018. I am a accredited childminder & offer 15hr & 30hr funding. I have been childminding for 24 years. I live in Bassett green with my husband colin in a 3 bed terrace house. I have 3 grown up children, ( who have left home) & 7 grandchildren. In my setting I try to make everyday full of fun activities, daily indoor & outside activities, ( depending on weather), messy play, frequent visits to the parks & play areas, toy library, play groups & soft play ( when open ) etc. I have many toys, inside & out, books, role play, dressing up clothes, v tech, cars & trains, playdough, playhouse, trikes, scooters etc. we do a lot of art & craft, covering various culture events throughout the year, baking & free play. I work hard to maintain a good relationship with both 1) the child to understand their needs, interests & requirements & 2) the parent by communicating on a regular basis with regards to their child's progress & what we've done throughout the day. I follow the eyfs guidelines & plan for the child's activities for their individual level & development & do a learning journal with photos, & record observations & next steps.
My Experience
I've been childminding for 24 years, looking after children ageing from 5 weeks to 13 years. I've brought up 3 children of my own & baby sit my 7 grandchildren. I've helped out at several toddler groups regularly & ran a group several times to cover holidays. I ran the art & craft table at one of them weekly.
My Qualifications
I have a diploma in Homebase's childcare, I update my first aid training every 3 years, safeguarding, basic food hygiene & keep up with any training & many short courses.
My Availability
I work Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.30 pm, I can be a little bit flexible with times, I work all year around apart from my 4 weeks holiday of which I take as 2 separate 2 weeks. I don't work bank holidays but work all school holidays. I offer pick ups from hardmoor early years & Bassett green school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
My fees are £4.00 for under 5's & £4.20 for after school. Can offer a discount for a sibling. I'm a accredited childminder & offer 2 year, 3 & 4 year funding & tax free childcare, I except vouchers.
