I am 51 years old. I have two children of my own aged 16 and 13, one who has severe food allergies and carries Epi pens. I am also a foster carer and foster a long term placement for a teenager. I love travelling, reading and swimming. I am a non smoker. I am a pet lover.
My Experience
I started working in childcare as a support worker looking after children with life limiting conditions. I then qualified as a Teaching Assistant and worked in a primary school for three years. I have worked with children in reception all the way through to year 6. I was also a 1-1 support for a child that had autism and Down’s syndrome. I am currently working in a children’s preschool as a L3 Early years practitioner with children aged 2-4. I have also worked with young adults that have learning disabilities. My own son has severe food allergies and is on several medications and he has epi pens. I am also an approved fosterer.
My Qualifications
Teaching Assistant, safeguard trained, first aid paediatric trained. I have a full DBS check through my job and also the foster agency and I have paperwork I can show regarding this.
My Availability
I work in a children’s nursery until 2.45 every day apart from on a Wednesday when I finish at 12.45. I am free around 4pm onwards and on a Wednesday 1.30 onwards and I am available weekends. I am also free in the school holidays as I only work term time.
