About Me
Hello, my name is Janis, and I have been an Ofsted-registered childminder since 2005. As a mother of five and proud grandmother, I understand the importance of providing children with a safe, nurturing, and happy environment where they can thrive. I have lived in Marple Bridge for over 20 years and work alongside a team of experienced assistants to provide high-quality childcare.
At Jubilee Childcare, we offer a true home-from-home setting where learning is fun and every child is encouraged to develop at their own pace. Our welcoming environment includes a large, secure garden with a dedicated outdoor cabin, wooden play equipment, and plenty of opportunities for both indoor and outdoor learning.
Children enjoy a wide variety of activities, including arts and crafts, baking, music, piano, imaginative play, and all the comforts of a family home, including our family cat. We make the most of our beautiful local surroundings with walks and visits to nearby Etherow Country Park. Spanish lessons are also offered every Thursday.
I hold all the relevant childcare qualifications and have extensive experience caring for babies and children of all ages. I am passionate about creating a warm, stimulating environment where children feel valued, build confidence, make friends, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our setting is open all year round, with the exception of bank holidays and our annual family holidays.

My Experience
As a mother of five, I have first-hand experience of the joys and challenges of raising children. I became an Ofsted-registered childminder in October 2005 and have been providing high-quality childcare ever since. Working alongside a team of experienced assistants, I have created a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can learn, grow, and flourish.
Over the years, I have continually expanded my knowledge and experience within the early years sector, including previously running Jubilee Childcare Pre-school at The Garden House. This valuable experience has further strengthened my understanding of children’s learning, development, and individual needs.
I have supported children and families from a wide range of backgrounds, including working closely with Social Care and other professionals to ensure children receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.
I am committed to continuous professional development and regularly attend training to keep my knowledge up to date with the latest childcare legislation, safeguarding requirements, and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance. This enables me to provide the highest standards of care and education for every child in my setting.

-Level 3 NVQ City & Guilds in Childrens Care, Lea6 & Development .
-CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Chil6 Prac5.
-Paediartic First Aid.
-Cert Designated Safeguarding Lead
-Level 2 Food Hygiene

My Availability
We currently have limited childcare places available for children aged 0–5 years from September 2026. Please get in touch to discuss your individual childcare requirements and current availability.
My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£67.50 per day 8.30am - 5.30pm
