About Me
Hello! I am Edith, 26 years old. I grew up in France with an American mother so I am fully bilingual (happy to babysit in either language). I am the eldest of 4 children and truly feel like I grew up with my little sisters on my hip. I feel very comfortable with children of all ages. Some other fun facts about my approach to childcare: I love children's books, being outside with kids (going to the park, interacting with nature etc) and sparking their creativity by playing games or doing arts and crafts. Although I am not one to judge different parenting styles, I love to see children interact with the world around them rather than being on screens. I am very comfortable with dogs if you have one.
My Experience
I have 2 years of language teaching experience for children aged 3-13: overseeing classes of 10 children, coming up with fun and educational activities, and putting on plays with them. I am always careful to foster an empathetic, caring and supportive environment for children. I also have lots of experience maintaining that attitude under pressure or when caring for several children. Alongside teaching, I have experience 1-1 tutoring French children in preparation for exams to enter a demanding international school.
My Qualifications
I am educated to MSc level. Although I don't hold any childcare related qualifications, I have lots of experience teaching and caring for children!
My Availability
I can be very flexible with dates and times. Please note that I will be away from the evening of Wednesday 18th of February to Sunday 21st of February.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
14 pounds per hour for babysitting. Up to 20 pounds per hour for tutoring or homework help
