Welcome to LoobyLou’s – Space, Fresh Air & All-Inclusive Care
I'm Louise, and alongside my husband Andy (also a fully registered childminder), I run our unique setting from a stunning 6/7-bedroom converted mill. We're nestled in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, just a short drive from Hereford town centre, giving children the rare gift of fresh air, adventure, and room to breathe.
The "All-Inclusive" Difference
No hidden costs, no last-minute scrambles for trip money. Our fees cover everything:- meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, and all activities. You budget for childcare, and we handle the rest (check my fees section for full details).
Space to Learn, Play & Sleep
Your child will never feel crowded here. We use a large living room, separate dining room, a dedicated craft room, and a huge playroom. For naptime, we have a sleep room on the ground floor and can use additional cosy bedrooms where children get their own cot and undisturbed sleep because a well-rested child is a happy child.
Outdoor Adventures Every Day
We have a large secured garden plus a separate secured courtyard for older children, with sheep and cows often grazing in the fields right beside us. Your child will explore nature, dig in the mud, and learn about caring for living things, helped by our friendly little Shih Tzu 'Cookie', plus a turtle and a tortoise!
A True Family Atmosphere
We're parents ourselves (Alfie 16, Isabella 12, Jude 10, and little Jake aged 1). We know the juggle! Both Andy and I hold enhanced DBS checks, full Paediatric First Aid, and comprehensive insurance. We follow the EYFS curriculum through play, but we always consult with you first, because we believe parents are the true experts on their own children.

My Experience
Qualifications & Lifelong Learning
Level 5 Diploma in EYFS | Level 3 Childcare | Level 3 Child Psychology. Currently working towards my 'Hygge in Early Years' accreditation—because I believe we never stop learning.
20+ Years of Hands-On Experience
15+ years as a childminder, plus nursery, school, babysitting, and holiday club roles. I've run playgroups, led Rainbows/Beavers/Cubs, and even served as a School Governor—giving me a 360° view of child development from toddlerhood right through to primary school.
My Teaching Influences
I blend Montessori (independence), Waldorf (creative play), The Curiosity Approach (real-world resources), and Hygge (cosiness and wellbeing) to create a calm, home-like environment where children feel secure enough to explore.
Early Communication
I start communication young with 'Sing and Sign', daily storytime, nursery rhymes, and plenty of unhurried one-to-one time—building confidence and vocabulary from the very start.
Personalised Sleep Support
I'm trained in multiple sleep methods and never force a one-size-fits-all routine. I'll work closely with you to find a gentle approach that actually suits your child's rhythm (because I know how exhausting sleepless nights are for parents).
Outdoor Every Day
We go outside in all weathers—properly wrapped up! Fresh air, nature, and muddy puddles build resilience and wonder. As Wainwright said: "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing."

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
All Inclusive Day rate:- £55 (minimum 6 hours & maximum 10 hours) Opening Times 7am - 6pm includes all meals, snacks, drinks, outings, trips, wipes, nappies and all activities.
Longer hours by agreement at a cost of £6 per hour.
We accepted funding and charge £6 per hour above the funding rate
