Julie is currently our nanny for our nearly 2 year old son and has been working with him since he was 7 months old. She is a rare find - someone who brings a lot of experience and knowledge to bear but understands that each family's approach is unique, the same as every child. As someone raising her first child, I have enjoyed having Julie as a sounding board, someone to ask advice for different strategies and approaches to all kinds of things - sleep strategies, weaning, developing new skills.
I value the montessori approach and have seen my son grow in confidence and curiousity with the rhythms they have set on their days together, which includes tidying after himself, helping make his snacks, lots of outside time, and dancing/singing/silly fun.

Some unexpected benefits have been : help with son's meals/laundry during naptime, suggestions of play groups and activities such as swimming and gymnastics, and French language development.
