About Me
Hi, I’m Johanna! I’m an Occupational Therapy student going into my third year and I currently work in the NHS as a Therapy Technician. I’m a friendly, caring and energetic person who genuinely loves spending time with children.
I’m particularly interested in child development and enjoy creative activities, crafts, sports, outdoor adventures and nature-based activities. I also love music, animals and spending time outdoors.
I’d love the opportunity to support a family with occasional or part-time childcare alongside my studies, and to build a lovely relationship with the children I look after. I’ve recently moved to Portishead and have a full UK driving licence and my own car.
My Experience
I have grown up in a large Hungarian family with lots of younger cousins, and have always enjoyed spending time with and helping to look after children. My younger sister was born when I was 18, and I have been very involved in caring for and supporting her as she has grown up.
I also currently work in the NHS as a Therapy Technician, where I support patients in a hospital environment. This has given me valuable experience in being responsible, patient, compassionate and attentive to individual needs.
Alongside this, I provide companionship and support to an older person, which has further developed my confidence in providing caring and reliable support.
My Qualifications
L3 qualification in health and social care (sociology, physiology and human biology) CPR, basic life support and mandatory healthcare training, I am also currently studying additional sociology A level.
My Availability
I currently have quite a lot of availability this week (17th-23rd August) and would be very happy to help with babysitting or childcare at short notice where possible.
Going forward, my availability varies around my university timetable, but I’m particularly available on Fridays and can often do other weekdays or evenings depending on my schedule. I’m happy to discuss dates and times that work for your family and can sometimes accommodate last-minute bookings.
