Excellent Long-term Tutor

Gallison began working with our son when he was in year 4 and came to our home for 8 years on a weekly basis, teaching both English and maths,

She is dependable and highly organised and will always give time after each lesson to give detailed feedback. She really knows how to achieve the best from students. My son always looked forward to her visits and did his best for her. He has really thrived and developed a very studious nature.

He sat his GCSEs this year and achieved level 8 in both English Language and Literature and a level 9 in maths! A great part of his success is thanks to Gallison.

We are so grateful for her patience and dedication and would highly recommend her as a tutor.

Spot on and punctual tutor.

We have had this tutor for 4 years and we first had Miss Allison for my elder son. In two months she improved my son's handwriting , then she helps my son in all the areas in English and Maths. Such as answering comprehension questions fully and difficult areas in maths. Miss Allison makes sure whoever she teaches that whenever a student gets a question wrong she makes sure that the student understands the question , by going through it thoroughly and explaining the question step by step. If you request any sort of topic on Maths and English , Miss Allison gives it at the next lesson. I think this exceptional . After putting my second child in , his scores on his report started going up . Then he fixed his handwriting and started doing comprehension , addition and spelling only at the age of 5 years old. I strongly recommend her Platinum service so think twice before hiring a different tutor.

Online Tutor

I was recommended Gallison's services by a friend in Harrow. I was particularly interested in online tuition during the lockdown/school closure period.

The lessons for my son have been very beneficial in preparation for his 11+ exams.

Gallison is very organised and well prepared. During the lessons,my son enjoys working alongside his teacher . He enjoys explaining his reasoning and says that he now understands lots of new things in maths ( especially algebra and word problems ).In English/verbal he enjoys looking at harder comprehension texts with his teacher,as she always makes sure he understands the work. She has been setting a lot of homework through Google Classroom and quickly marks and returns the work with helpful comments.

I fully recommend this teacher and hope that my year 4 daughter can start lessons in September.
