About Me
I’m a Cambridge city based childminder operating in my newly renovated home. I have dedicated indoor play space and garden for children to learn, play and have fun. We live on a quiet safe pedestrian only street, opposite a playground for lots of outdoors running around and sandpit play.
I am an Ofsted registered Good provider, follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for child development, and a member of PACEY (Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years). I am on the Cambridge council list of Ofsted registered childminders.
Being located near to the city centre enables me to offer trips to the central library, the museums, botanic gardens and numerous playgrounds, as well as saying hello to the ducks, swans and cows at the river.
We attend various baby and toddler groups in the local area to meet and play with other chilldren, and at home we have lots of fun activities such as music, singing, reading, crafts, puzzles, train tracks, cars, dolls, and much much more.
Any snacks are homemade, healthy, balanced, and refined sugar free.
I don’t maximise my adult:child ratio so children get lots of care and attention, and I can therefore offer short term as well as long term childcare solutions. I work with the under 3’s and in school term time only.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2021, cared for my own children for 7 years, and have babysitting experience.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered Good, DBS checked and a member of PACEY.
I have completed the following training:

- FGM training
- The Prevent Duty training
- Level 2 Understanding Autism

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
I’m open Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, and Fridays 8am to 3pm.
I operate on a term time only basis.
I ask that children bring a packed lunch, nappies and wipes. Healthy snacks are included.

We were very happy with Sarah looking after our son. She was kind and caring, and planned fantastic activities that were fun and encouraged his development. She cooked nutritious food, and regularly took him on outings, and to toddler groups. He settled quickly, which was reflective of Sarah’s welcoming and caring approach.

Sarah lives close to St. Matthew’s school, which was super handy for us as our older daughter attends this school. We were able to collect our younger girl, who was in Sarah’s care just before we collected our older child from St Matthew’s school. Sarah lives in a lovely house close to a great and clean playground with a sandpit. Sarah is incredibly friendly and very smiley with the children in her care. I also felt that she is very attentive and caring with children. Sarah’s house is very cosy and extremely tidy and clean. Sarah always rotates toys , which meant that our daughter was able to experience new toys and materials frequently. Sarah made sure that she went out with the kids every day. They went to baby groups, parks, local museums and playgrounds. Our daughter loved all this and always seemed very happy when I dropped her at Sarah’s house and sometimes did not want to go home! Sarah is very approachable. I always felt that I could ask her anything about my daughters care. Sarah responds quickly via email and message/WhatsApp and was very flexible when I needed to change a day around, as I was working flexible hours. My daughter has grown so much in Sarah’s care and learned so much from her. I would definitely recommend Sarah to anyone !
