About Me
My name is Lorena, I am a childminder and mother of one. I care for children in my modest home, where I live with my husband, grandmother, son, dog and cat.
I aim to provide a home-away-from-home experience for your child and work in partnership with you to meet their needs. I look after my son at the same time as other children, and like any parent I want the best for him, as well as for the children I care for. Ultimately I want you to have the peace of mind that your little one is being cared for with all the tender care and respect that they would receive at home.
I am registered with CIW to care for up to 7 children, but to keep service personal, I keep these numbers to a minimum. I provide a day service and a pick up service from local schools.
My Experience
I am not able to say I have a decade of experience in the field; however, I can tell you that I am up to date with the very latest requirements and regulations in childcare. Childminding has been my opportunity to do something I am truly passionate about, and I hope that this shows in the quality of service I provide.
It is important to me that I equip myself to give your child (and my child) a great start in life. I attend a number of webinars, listen to podcasts and read about the latest research in child development. Through my personal development I learned about the Reggio Emilia approach to child-led learning, and whilst I am no expert, I try to apply these principles in my setting.

My Availability
My service is available between the hours of 06:00 and 19:00 Monday to Friday. I can also provide some ad-hoc availability on weekends. My service is available during all school holidays, except for Christmas.
