Searching for Nanny Housekeeper
About Me
Nanny Housekeeper Advert – Permanent Role | £20 gross per hour
We have two children: George (who is 5 and was born on 16th September 2020) and Rose (who is nearly 3 and was born on 5 July 2023).
We are looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Nanny Housekeeper to join our family in a long-term position.
This varied role combines childcare with light housekeeping, cooking and family support. We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children, is organised and energetic, and takes pride in helping family life run smoothly.
Hours
Term time – 32 hours per week
• Monday: 7am–9am and 3pm–6:30pm
• Tuesday: 8am–6:30pm
• Wednesday: 8am–6:30pm
• Thursday: 7am–9am and 3pm–6:30pm
• Friday: off
All school holidays – 50 hours per week
• Monday–Friday: 8am–6pm
This equates to approximately 36.5 hours per week annualised.
Salary: £20 gross per hour, approximately £37,960 gross per annum.
The role includes:
• Getting the children ready for school, including breakfast and school runs
• School pick-ups at 3.15pm and after-school care
• Trips to the park, activities and playdates
• Supporting homework and reading
• Cooking the children’s dinner
• Managing bath and bedtime routines
• Planning fun activities and days out during the school holidays
• Walking the family dog
• Preparing a family meal on full school days
• Managing the children’s laundry
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms and playroom tidy and organised
• General light household organisation
This is a nanny-housekeeper role rather than a cleaning position, so there is no expectation of heavy or deep cleaning.
We would love to hear from someone who is kind, fun, trustworthy and proactive, and who will build a positive relationship with the children while becoming a valued part of our family.
Previous nanny or nanny-housekeeper experience, cooking skills and excellent references are important. Ideally, you will also hold an enhanced DBS check and paediatric first aid certificate, and be a confident driver.
We are particularly keen to find someone looking for a stable, long-term position with a family.
