About Me
We are a family of 5, in Aylesbury, 3 boys aged 4, 9 and 13. We are looking for help with our eldest son who has special needs and epilepsy. I work full time as a private physiotherapist and my husband had a life changing accident 2 years ago so is physically unable to care for our eldest son. We also have a 2 dogs and 2 cats.
My Requirements
UPDATED July 2025
We now have a vacancy for a nanny 2 day a week ideally a Wednesday and Thursday. This would involve starting at 7.30/8am to assist getting our eldest son ready for school with myself, then helping in the house during the day, then looking after him after school with a second person. Helping with preparing and or giving our eldest dinner, followed by getting him ready for bed. The day typically ends at 1800hrs. There is the opportunity for more hours before/ after school, weekends , holidays. Good rates of pay. Special needs experience essential.
Our eldest son is 13 but developmentally is around 18 months, he also experiences seizures. This sounds worse than it is and full training would be provided. We have a 9 year old in year 4 at the local school and a 4 year old in pre school part time. We also have an au pair to assist for 30-35 hours a per week and my husband helps with the younger boys.
It would be advantageous to have someone with a driving licence who would become comfortable with our wheelchair accessible vehicle.
All our children go to school Monday to Friday unless zac is too unwell to go due to seizures so some of the hours are for admin for our eldest son for example checking medication supplies- ordering new stock, cleaning his bedroom, wet room and the communal areas, changing bedding, washing etc. During this time you would be on call to collect him from school if he is unwell. Similarly, if he is unwell at the start of the day, it would be to care for him at our home.
During school holidays, it would be to take the children out with either the au pair or a carer to parks/ local attractions.
We are also looking for ad hoc care at the weekends either to care solely for our eldest son or as a second pair of hands
