I have experience in caring for babies and children ages 12 months - 10 years old.
Background:
I grew up in east-London and have lived there until recently. I grew up with my dad, mum, two younger sisters and older brother. We are a very close knit family and had a great childhood. We all attended Nightingale Primary School, then on to Wanstead Secondary School.
My mum was also child minding at the time so we were always around plenty of children before and after school. We had a busy household of people, games and animals. We had rabbits, hamsters, dogs and guinea pigs. This kept us busy and also taught us some responsibility. I then went on to attend Epping College to study Childcare.
My Experience
Previous experience includes nursery work experience when I was 18 years old at Nightingale Primary School nursery. I worked with 2 to 3 year old's helping to run the day to day nursery activities, preparing breakfast and lunches for them. I also did some one on one work with a girl who was hearing impaired and required individual assistance. I supported the teachers in setting up different projects for the children, story book time, clearing up the nursery, communicating with parents and making sure safe and healthy guidelines were met consistently. I also currently do private nannying and have worked with 5 families over the last 3 years.
My Qualifications
Work experience at Nightingale Primary School working as a class assistant in the nursery for around 6 months. After the course had finished I worked at various retail jobs, trying to make some money for the first time. This led on to my second course in Animal Care. I attended Capel Manor in Regents Park and took a zoo keeping apprenticeship with ZSL London zoo.
