Hello I'm Helen,
I have recently started a Psychology degree at Greenwich University, specialising in child and adolescent psychology. Over the summer I was nannying full time for a wonderful family, who have a 1 year old girl, who I adore!! I generally keep my Fridays free now to look after her.
I absolutely love spending time with my family and friends, I come from a large family who are all fun and very lovely!! I have 8 nieces and nephews, from newborn to 16 years of age...so plenty of experience with children at all stages. I’m incredibly curious about people, the world and enjoy being outdoors, exploring new countries and experiencing everything London has to offer. Gardening, swimming, reading and pub quizzes...are also on my list of things I like to do in my free time.
My Experience
As well as looking after the little girl over the summer, I have worked in Secondary Schools for the last 5 years, in a variety of roles but predominantly pastoral care. Supporting and mentoring student health and well-being. This is something I would like to eventually go back in to once I have completed my degree, ideally in a youth counselling or mentor role.
My Qualifications
First Aid trained.
Counselling skills levels 1 and 2
Supporting teaching and learning levels 1 and 2
Emotional Literacy Support Assistant certified
My Availability
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my days off from uni, so I have full availability
on those days. Evenings and weekends can be booked in on a weekly or monthly basis.
