About Me
As well as being an enthusiastic, caring and creative teacher, I am a trained musician and have sung as a chorister at both Homerton and Magdalene College over the last few years and taught the recorder and singing in schools. I have also worked with several local arts organisations such as Kettles Yard, Wysing Arts Centre and Arts and Minds. In my free time I enjoy art, cooking, writing poetry and going on walks with friends and family.
My Experience
I am now in my seventh year of teaching and my experience varies from being a primary school teacher, peripatetic music teacher and Art Specialist/Classroom Teacher in a SEND School. Alongside my teaching, I usually work at the Cambridge Junction for their creative arts programme, Total Arts which is for young people with additional needs. Additionally, I have volunteered for a pottery group supporting participants with dementia for years and love teaching hand modelled pottery.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE in General Primary Education (5 -11 years) and a Masters in Education (with Distinction) from the University of Cambridge. Before training to be a teacher I did a BA in Drama and Music at Royal Holloway, University of London.
My Availability
I am available for tutoring online on Thursdays and Fridays, or in person from September 2024. I would also be happy to consider doing the occasional Saturday session. I am very interested to take on some recorder pupils for September 2024. If your child is interested in learning an instrument, do get in contact, the recorder is a great place to start. I started learning at the age of 5!

My Fees
- Tutoring from £34.00 per hour
The cost of private tutoring (online) starts at £34. For groups of more than one child, the fee would be dependent on the number of children. I am available for in person tutoring and recorder lessons from September 2024.
