My Experience

I have over two years of experience working as a childminding assistant, where I supported two childminders and learned a lot from them. This role gave me a strong foundation in caring for children of different ages, building routines, planning activities and creating a safe and happy environment. After gaining this experience, I now feel ready to open my own setting as a registered childminder. As a mum to a 5-year-old girl, I also understand the parent’s perspective and how important it is to find a place where children feel secure, valued and able to learn through play.

My Qualifications

I have over two years of experience working as a childminding assistant, which gave me valuable experience and the confidence to open my own setting. I hold an enhanced DBS check and Paediatric First Aid training, and I place great importance on safeguarding and keeping children safe at all times. At the same time, I believe childhood should be full of fun, play and good memories, so I do my best to give children plenty of opportunities to enjoy themselves while learning and growing. I have also completed other courses to improve my practice, and I am always happy to show my certificates to parents who would like to see them. I am committed to keeping my skills up to date so that children in my care always have the best support

My Availability

I currently work Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
I offer places with careful consideration of each family’s individual needs, including the child’s age, required hours and school arrangements.
At the moment, I am operating a waiting list. Families are always very welcome to get in touch for a chat about their requirements and to register their interest.
I can support children attending St Joseph & St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School or Adwick Primary, where this fits well with existing arrangements.

My Fees

• Childminding from £6.00 per hour

I keep my fees simple, with two options for families:
£6 per hour – my standard rate for childcare, including all meals, snacks and resources for activities. I also accept funded children, so funded hours are never a problem for families.
£8 per hour – for wraparound care (before and/or after school). This includes school drop-off and pick-up by car, as well as meals and resources. There are no additional costs.

During school holidays, I also offer full childcare at the standard rate of £6 per hour, giving children a safe and happy place to spend their day.
