Hollie
Nanny in Cardiff
My Summary
About Me
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read over my profile.
I currently work as a full time child minder, at a private service offering all day and wrap around care for up to 10 children, aged 2-8.
My last nanny role was as a full time nanny for 2, 22 month old twin girls. My duties included everything from breakfast to bath time, I work to a specific routine carefully designed by the parents to ensure the girls are getting the best care possible. I am able to provide excellent and comprehensive care to one or more children, and we have a lot of fun! My position will come to an end mid March as the girls are being up into a nursery, and I’m really hoping to find a new family to join. Prior to my current role, I nannied a one year old, who’s mum worked in TV and film, meaning mostly very long days, and lots of travel. I am able to adapt to any style of parenting and/or life, and will always look after child(ren) as told by the parents.
I've had various childcare roles, from au pair to teaching assistant, to live out nanny, and lots of personal experience growing up with young siblings. I've also worked with young adults with learning difficulties and the skills I have gained really help with looking after children and babies.
I can provide an enhanced DBS and references. Attatched is a reference from a recent employer. (Waiting on Current employer reference)
I absolutely love spending time with babies and children, its something that has always felt very natural to me.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions!
Reference from previous employer/Mum:
Hollie is a wonderful nanny - kind, caring and full of love and hugs; she and my one year old baby girl bonded immediately. I came to Cardiff to work and was anxious about finding the right person to leave my baby with in a city I didn’t know; I feel so grateful to Hollie for making the experience so easy. Words to describe Hollie: lots of fun. Playful, energetic and full of positive energy. Responsible and practical and always arrives on time. Always excited to see the baby and welcomes her with cuddles and kisses. Has a brilliant sense of humour and is very kind hearted and loving. Is highly flexible with her hours and travelled with me to Spain and managed the new location fantastically. She goes out of her way to make sure things run smoothly. Nothing is too much trouble. She makes sure we always have nappies and wipes etc. She arranges fun outings. She keeps me up to date throughout the day with photos and videos. She is basically just a lovely, responsible, kind person and it will be a delight to have her your child’s life. We will both miss her. If you want to hear more about Hollie I would be more than happy to chat on the phone or respond to an email.
My Experience
I have worked as an au-pair in Spain with two families, caring for three children, aged 2-12. Whilst living in Spain I also provided classes outside of school to help children with English (aged 11-14).
I have worked in a number of SEN schools as an assistant, mainly with KS1 students. I have also worked very briefly (work experience) in a nursery, assisting with the babies, keeping them clean, fed and entertained.
full time nanny for twin girls, this is my second time working with twins, and I hope it’s not my last, as it’s double the fun!
My previous childcare role is a nanny for a 1 year old girl. The hours were often long and had included travel - I am always open to fitting in with the various demands of family life. I see my role as providing love, security, fun - supporting parents in whatever way suits them and their children.
I pride myself on being punctual and reliable, I love to have fun and am very creative; I studied textile design at univeristy.
Aside from my work experience, I have plenty of personal experience with children as I played a huge role in helping to bring up my siblings. I would consider myself a natural when it comes to the care of young ones!
