About Me

My name is Clare, I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Churchdown. I offer a fun and friendly term time childminding service for children from 6 months to 11 years old. I have experience working with babies having two children of my own, who are now 7 and 9. I am a qualified teacher and have 18 years of teaching experience working with a range of ages from Early Years to Key Stage One. Most of my teaching career has been spent teaching Reception aged children in schools.

I am a lively, caring and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and their parents. My aim is to build strong and secure relationships to help encourage children to develop to the best of their ability. I am flexible and enjoy harnessing children’s interests to develop their play and learning experiences.

I have a large playroom with many fun and exciting resources that are regularly changed to keep children interested and motivated to learn. There are opportunities to build imaginative models, play with small world toys, read a book in the cosy reading area, recreate experiences in our role play area and get creative, amongst other things! The playroom has access to our lovely, enclosed garden space where we have a sand pit, mud kitchen, playhouse and lots of ride-on toys for all ages. In addition to children’s free play, we sing, share stories and get outside every day. We visit the local area as often as possible with trips to the library, parks, shops and café.

I offer term time only contracts. I can offer school drop offs and collections from Elmbridge Primary School.
