My Summary

My Experience

I have been working as a childminder with my current family since September 2021. My average day begins by preparing the dinner and after school snacks followed by the housework which consists of; washing and putting away clothes, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming. My bi-weekly tasks include cleaning the bathrooms, bedrooms and office. I'll also change bedding, empty bins and recycling when needed. If the weather permits, I occasionally help in the garden with light weeding and grass cutting. After the school run, in the winter the children and myself will usually do arts and crafts, play with lego, play a board games or read. In the Summer we continue the same activities but will prioritise spending time outdoors; this includes sports such as football, basketball, croquet and trampolining. On occasion I have taken the children to central London for day trips at museums and parks.

In 2019 I worked at Varsity International Summer Camp from 15th July - 11th August. While with Varsity International I ran an array of activities including yoga, art, pottery and drama. I was a group leader in large excursions (including Buckingham palace, Warner Bro's Studio Tour and Thorpe Park) as well as local trips. I monitored breaks, meals and bedtimes and ensured all campers were staying healthy, clean and happy. I completed daily paperwork including incident and injury reports as well as managing pick up and drop off times for the local day campers. I also aided in ‘handover days’ where I would escort departing campers to the airport for their journeys home and collect new campers.

In November 2019 I became a creative consultant for 'Graces Dream', a charity dedicated to bringing top quality entertainment to children hospitals within the United Kingdom. Since joining the team I have helped to create fun, low cost interactive workshops as well as aid in fundraising activities.

As well as working with children, from November 23rd 2016- 14th September 2018 I worked at Ribbons and Taylor Café and Bakery. My title was 'Barista and Waitress'. Some of my responsibilities included preparing and serving food and hot beverages, maintained cleanliness standards and stock intake, as well as cashing up and locking the café at the end of the day.
