About Me

I live in Stewkley with my husband Karl, our 3 children, age 15, 11 and 10. We have a pet dog, Bruno and a pet cat, Shadow. Both pets have been around children since they were a kitten and puppy and both are very friendly.

I am a dedicated, enthusiastic, caring educator with a love for children and their development. I have been awarded an 'Outstanding' rating in my most recent Ofsted inspection. I love setting up areas of play suitable to the age and stage of the children I care for on each particular day. Each activity is tailored to suit each child's individual needs, so that they can get the most out of their time with me.

I believe children can learn and thrive in a learning environment which is stimulating, comforting and appropriate each child's abilities. I have a genuine interest in the education sector and in outdoor learning activities and forest school.

The children will have lots of opportunities to play in the garden which has lots of outdoor games and toys. Featuring daily sand and water play, a mud kitchen, outdoor toys and we also plant our own herbs, fruit and vegetables. I am currently on the waiting list for an allotment space so that we can expand our sustainability further.

There are a variety of activities on offer to the children within my care. We take part in cooking, painting, sticking, play-dough, dressing up, puzzles, sand play, water play to name a few. We have topics and cover all festivals and celebrations. The children gain so much from this and it's a great way to incorporate how others live into our learning.

My daily rate covers all food and outings. We go on many outings including the Zoo, farms, soft-play, forest school, national parks, local walks and trips to parks to names a few.
