About Me
Hi everyone!
We’re a friendly family based in central Folkestone (location may change slightly as we’re moving soon) and looking for a kind, reliable and proactive nanny to help care for my lovely 6-year-old daughter. Our current nanny is moving on, so we’re hoping to find someone who can become a steady and trusted part of our routine.
I work shifts, so we need someone flexible and dependable, mainly for weekday before- and after-school care, with the occasional overnight stay.
My daughter is very easy-going — she’s asleep by 6:30–7pm — so overnights are really just a paid sleep-in and drop to school in the morning.
My Requirements
? About the Role:
• Up to 3 weekdays - weekends usually are covered
• Hours: 6:30/7:00am–8:00am (school drop-off) and 3:15/4:15pm–8:30/9:00pm (pick-up, homework, dinner, bedtime)
• School and clubs are all in Folkestone, with clubs running Tuesday–Friday and the latest finishing 7:40pm on Fridays — you won’t need to stay during club times, just handle drop-offs and pick-ups where needed
• Approx. 24–30 hours per week
• Monthly schedule provided in advance
• Mostly local travel (all within 10 miles)
• Start date: mid-December (transition support available early December)
• Occasional overnight stays – spare bedroom available for you
? About Us:
• One child, age 6 – sociable, funny and used to nannies
• Non-smoking, no-pets home
• Centrally located – easy access by car, train or bus
? Requirements (non-negotiable):
• Ofsted Registered
• Current DBS (on update service or willing to renew)
•Reliable, caring, trustworthy, punctual and respectful
• Paediatric First Aid
• Proven experience in sole-charge nannying or childcare (minimum 3 years preferred)
Bonus requirements:
• Drivers preferred but not essential
• Level 3 NVQ or Degree in childcare/education ideal
Pay: Up to £15 per hour (depending on experience)
This role could suit a student looking to build experience alongside studies.
