My Summary

My Experience

In my currant role, I am a class TA in a reception class.

In my previous job role, I had 24 children in my preschool class with 9 key children aged between 3 and 4 year olds. I started the nursery as an Early Years practitioner but soon got promoted to becoming the senior and room leader. Throughout this role, I undertook many responsibilities and duties.
? I prepared planning on a monthly basis based on the children’s interests and in accordance with the EYFS curriculum.
? I carried out planned weekly observations on my 11 key children and also carry out unplanned observations on the whole class which are based on spontaneous achievements of each child.
? Using tapestry, I recorded children’s observations and track their development.
? Due to the pandemic and social distancing, working with parents has been done through completing daily handovers on tapestry and also speaking via telephone conversation if serious issues or concerns arise. To ensure parents are up to date on their child’s development and interests/concerns are discussed, I carry out parent evening meetings and also write developmental summaries on their child.
? At the end of the year, I had interactions with the child’s upcoming reception teacher and I also write up a school transition report on each individual child.
? On a daily basis, I prepared and lead group time activities with the children teaching maths, literacy, songs, musical instruments and rhymes.
? Following the completion of a phonics course for 3 year olds, I carried out phonics activities with the children using the “jolly phonics” system and also working alongside “Letters and Sounds: Principles and Practice of High Quality Phonics”, I implement all 7 aspects of phase one, with the children, throughout the year in adult led activities.
? I planned and organised outings for the class to the local park, town, theatre and zoo.
? On a daily basis, I managed the staff ensuring adult: child ratios are correct during lunch cover and holiday periods.
? In this role, I have cared for children with behaviour that challenges, speech and language difficulties and also other SEN. To support these children, I have worked alongside external professionals including paediatricians, occupational therapists, SENCO Leaders and I have also planned and carried out Individual Educational plans.

Saturday mornings to late afternoon
Weekend babysitting if needed

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
