About Me
My name is Nina Jost, I‘m 26 years old and am originally from Germany. I am a PhD student in Developmental Psychology at Durham University. Alongside my studies I am looking for some babysitting/ childcare opportunities.
My Experience
I’ve always loved working with kids. When I was 15, I started tutoring secondary school students after school, helping them prepare for exams and giving them the support they needed to succeed.
After finishing my Abitur (German A-levels), I moved to England and spent a year working as an Au Pair looking after 2 young girls. My role included school runs, homework help, baking, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and general household tasks like cooking and cleaning.
Since then, I’ve gained lots of experience as both a babysitter and nanny, looking after children of all ages. This has also included looking after children with ADHD and autism.
I am now doing a PhD in Developmental Psychology at Durham University. My research focuses on early numeracy skills in preschool-aged children, which means I also have plenty of hands-on experience working with 2–4 year olds in a research setting. I am fully DBS checked.

We met Nina when we were looking for someone last minute because we had been let down by our previous nanny.
She does a brilliant job! She is reliable, trustworthy, amazing with children and such a positive nature. It is a real joy having her around and helping us out. I completely trust her with my kids (and the dog).
We cannot recommend Nina enough.
