About Me
We’re a warm, friendly family based in Leigh-on-Sea with three children:
• Sienna (12) – kind, chatty, largely independent pre-teen. Attends Belfairs and has cheerleading training in Southend 4 evenings per week.
• Joshua (9) – caring and sweet. Attends West Leigh Junior School and benefits from attention/activities after school.
• Jack (almost 3) – energetic, funny and full of personality. Loves superheroes and keeps us on our toes! Jack no longer naps and attends Little Acorns Preschool 2 days per week.
Both parents work full time. John is in London two days per week and works from home upstairs on other days. I run a business from our garden office and my schedule can occasionally include filming/TV work, events and London meetings, sometimes at short notice.
We’re an inclusive family and genuinely value the people we work with — we’re looking for someone who will feel like part of our home life and who we can trust completely.
My Requirements
We are looking for a Nanny / Housekeeper to support our family, ideally 3 days per week (days can be flexible for the right person). The role will mainly focus on caring for Jack during the day, plus being available after school for the older children to create a calm and homely atmosphere.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Childcare for Jack (toddler care, activities, meals, outings)
• School / preschool pick-ups
• After school support for Sienna and Joshua
• Helping with dinner, bath time and evening routine
• Light housekeeping: washing, tidying, keeping the home running smoothly
• Home admin support (e.g. parcel returns)
• Occasional cheerleading runs / support with children’s logistics
We have a weekly cleaner who attends Mondays at midday, so it would be helpful if Jack is out of the house around that time.
During school holidays, we’d love some flexibility where possible, as I sometimes plan special days out with the children and may occasionally swap working days (by agreement).
We are also open to a candidate who would prefer after school nanny hours in term time, with the option to increase to 2/ 3 full days per week in school holidays.
Start date: Monday 9th February (includes half term the following week)
The right person for us will be:
• Kind, calm, reliable and proactive
• Confident with toddlers
• Organised and happy supporting a busy household
• Trustworthy and safety-minded
