Funding clarity and communication issues
I contacted this childminder regarding short-term care and asked about using government funded childcare hours, which are designed to follow the child between providers.
I was told that funded hours could not be used for a short period and that I would need to pay privately instead. After I politely shared official guidance explaining that funding can be split between providers, communication stopped.
Shortly afterwards, I was unable to view or contact this profile while logged in, although it still appears publicly when logged out, which suggests I may have been blocked rather than the issue being discussed.
I would advise other parents to double-check funding arrangements in writing and ensure providers are comfortable and familiar with government childcare funding before making plans.
