Amazing childminder who dropped off and collected my daughter from nursery every day. My daughter absolutely loved going and saw them as family, always enjoying playing with both the staff and the other children.

I always felt reassured knowing she was safe and so well looked after. At the end of each day, she would happily say goodbye with a “love you,” which really shows how much she cared for them.

I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

The best childminder in the area

Finding Rachel through Childcare.co.uk was one of the best decisions we made. At the time, I was feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious because my son was struggling to settle into his previous nursery, while I was also trying to manage my university studies. From our very first meeting, Rachel was incredibly kind, professional and reassuring. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, making us feel comfortable and confident that our son would be in the best possible hands. The nursery is always clean, welcoming and thoughtfully set up, creating a wonderful environment for children to learn and grow.
The progress my son made during his time with Rachel was truly remarkable. Not only did he develop academically, but his confidence, behaviour and independence also improved so much. Most importantly, he genuinely loved going to nursery every day, and made strong connections with Miss Bhara ( as he calls her Brenda) which gave me great peace of mind. I will always be grateful that we found Rachel. Her dedication, patience and genuine care have made such a positive difference to our son's early years and to our family. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent looking for a caring, nurturing and highly professional childminder.

Lovely childminder!

My son Eric who is just under 3 loves going to Miss Rachel and Miss Bhara. He always runs in with a huge smile and comes home looking happy and content. I am provided with daily updates which is great and it always looks like he is having such fun. I was super impressed on my first visit with the setting and with them both and immediately asked if they could look after my son when I was working. He has also come on leaps and bounds in their presence with his speech. I normally pack him a lunch but one day my food shop didn't arrive and I had to ask Miss Rachel at last minute if she could sort food for him and it was no problem at all. I am very pleased.

Childminder

Mrs Rachel and Miss Bhara have been caring for my children and have been an amazing job.
We love receiving the daily pictures and weekly updates of their week and progress as well as how happy they both are to attend.

Funding clarity and communication issues

I contacted this childminder regarding short-term care and asked about using government funded childcare hours, which are designed to follow the child between providers.

I was told that funded hours could not be used for a short period and that I would need to pay privately instead. After I politely shared official guidance explaining that funding can be split between providers, communication stopped.

Shortly afterwards, I was unable to view or contact this profile while logged in, although it still appears publicly when logged out, which suggests I may have been blocked rather than the issue being discussed.

I would advise other parents to double-check funding arrangements in writing and ensure providers are comfortable and familiar with government childcare funding before making plans.

Best childminder

Rachel has displayed remarkable patience and understanding towards my 2-year-old child. Initially, I had enrolled my child in a nursery, but after just 2 days, I was advised to look for a childminder as my child was struggling to settle in. Despite the significant changes in my child's routine, Rachel remained patient and helped my child gradually acclimate to the new environment before introducing various activities.

Under Rachel's care, my child has made significant progress, learning English quickly and thoroughly enjoying the time spent at Rachel's place. In fact, my child now looks forward to going to "school" even on weekends, expressing a genuine desire to attend. Rachel consistently provides timely updates throughout the day and is incredibly flexible, accommodating my needs when I have had to extend my child's hours due to work commitments.

Rachel's operating hours from 9-5 are convenient for me, and her willingness to extend my child's hours when needed has been a great relief. I am extremely satisfied with Rachel's service and the valuable skills and knowledge my child has gained under her care. I highly recommend Rachel as a childminder!

Fantastic childminder

I contacted Rachel in June 2022 to arrange childcare for my 6 month old son. On first meeting her, she was so well informed and up to date on key information.
Rachel always adapts the daily activities for my son so that he can continue to interact with the other children and develop socially. She always involves him and because of this, he is so alert and interested in the world around him.
Her daily updates keep me informed when I am at work and Rachel is always happy to have a quick chat at the end of the day to let me know how he’s got on! She really looks after him and will mention any small thing so that we can keep an eye out for it.
We feel so lucky to have found Rachel and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Awesome

I’m very happy my little one goes at Rachel’s house. She always cleaned and I’m noticing she starting to achieve more every single day.
She is having lot of fun and everytime I ask her if she wants to come back the next day she replies that she like it. I’m very happy with her. My little one is very sweet with her and sending her so many kiss and that’s made think that Rachel is very very caring with her. And this is all I need to know. Thank you.

Superb

I do not know Rachel personally, however ever since my little girl started, she has been learning more, speaking more and over development is inline with how i interact with my daughter. I can only pray for Rachel’s good health so my daughter can continue going.
