Hello!
My name is Kate, I’m 26 years old and from Scotland. I have an honours degree in Filmmaking and postgraduate in Applied Linguistics.
I am a confident English tutor, having studied English teaching at postgraduate level. I have experience teaching English as a second language in both Spain and Germany. Therefore, social subject tutoring or help with homework is no problem.
I work as a part time editor and write in my free time. I’m looking for further part time work and flexible with my working hours.
My Experience
I have previously worked as an Au Pair in Madrid in 2016, where I cared for four lovely children aged 6, 8, 11 and 12. I tutored them in English studies throughout my time in Spain.
I was also an Au Pair in Stuttgart with a German family who have three amazing kids aged 2, 5 and 7. The younger children did not speak much English, so my main role was teaching English as a foreign language.
More recently I was a private tutor as well as a part time nanny for a family in London.
My Qualifications
2:1 BA with honours Practical Film Making, MET Film School, Ealing
Postgraduate Diploma Applied Linguistics, Glasgow University
B2 German, Fokus Sprachschule, Stuttgart
First Aid Training at Friedländer-Schule, Berlin
My Availability
I am available to work up to 10 hours per week and am pretty flexible with what days / times. I also can work the odd weekend babysitting and also late if you'd like to stay out later. I do not however offer overnight babysitting.
I have a little poodle named Margot, and can't leave her over 5+ hours at a time - so any babysitting will have to be mindful of this.
