About Me
I have over 20 years experience. I am 38 and have always worked with children since I left school. I am very much a family person and have 4 young nephews that are a big part of my life (5-14 year olds).
I am a very active person and enjoy the outdoors. I like to explore new places. I also enjoy going to the gym 3 times a week.
My Experience
As a dedicated nanny since April 2024, I currently care for two girls aged 2 and 5 years old (they were 7months and 2 years old when I started with them) Monday to Wednesday, and one boy (2 years old) on Thursday and Friday.
I prioritize creating engaging, educational, and fun experiences tailored to the children's interests. Whether it’s taking them to museums, farms, or other learning environments, I’m always seeking new opportunities for exploration. I also enjoy incorporating cooking activities, allowing the children to help prepare meals and enjoy the creative process.
In addition to fostering individual growth, I focus on promoting social development by attending baby and toddler groups, where the children can interact with their peers. I also have a strong network of other nannies, and we frequently meet at local parks for additional play and socialisation.
Before transitioning to nannying, I spent over 15 years working in day nurseries, where I worked with children aged 0-5 years and advanced from Nursery Nurse to Nursery Manager. I successfully ran an Ofsted Outstanding nursery, developing a deep understanding of child development and the importance of working in partnership with parents to support children's milestones.
I’m known for being friendly, calm, and approachable, with a commitment to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for every child I care for. I hold an enhanced DBS, am on the update service, and am paediatric first aid trained that was refreshed 2026, along with a range of additional qualifications that enhance my childcare expertise.
My Qualifications
I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education in 2006. I then went on to complete my Foundation Degree in Early Years in 2011.
My Availability
From October 2026, I will have nannying availability for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's. I am available evening and weekends for babysitting.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £18.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
My rates are open to negotiation.

We couldn't be more grateful for the incredible care Abi provides for our son.
From day one, it was important to us to find someone who felt like a natural extension of our family while remaining completely professional, and she has struck that balance perfectly.
Our son is clearly comfortable with her, which gives us total peace of mind. She continuously encourages his learning and development, keeping him engaged through creative play and time outdoors, something we value hugely. On top of her warm and attentive care, her flexibility whenever our schedules shift has been greatly appreciated.
We truly can't recommend Abi enough!

Abi has been a wonderful nanny for our two children over the last 2 and half years. She started with us when our youngest was 7 months and has been incredible from day one. Our eldest is now nearly 5 and she has helped her navigate her first year at school very well. She has handled all aspects of childcare from weaning, to potty training and now helping with homework. She is always punctual, reliable and professional and very accommodating with any requests we have needed. We sadly don’t need her services (although she will remain a firm friend of the family!) as our youngest is ready for preschool but would recommend her most highly.
