Hi I am Steph, I have 2 children 18 & 11. I live with my husband. I have been childminding for almost 3 years now, but was previously a manger of a childcare setting for 12 years.
My Experience
My experience working with children has been great. I have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of children of all ages and abilities. Due to being made redundant in July 22, I have been working at an agency, working 1-2-1 with children with SEND and also working in a nursery school taking my own class of 12 children. I then started childminding in January 2023.
Each day I go to a different playgroups/ story time groups, meeting up with a few childminders, so children will see the same children each week, allowing them to have social interaction with others, than just the ones in my setting. Of the weather is nice, I will stay out as much as possible, making the most of the lovely weather and going to different parks, farms, nature reserves. I have a big garden with lots for the children to do too. During the school holiday we will spend most days out too! With visits to the beach, paddling pool etc.
My Qualifications
I have a second class honours in professional development in early years and I did also complete the childminding course too. I have my paediatric first aid and safeguarding.

I have some availability for September 2025
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My fees are £50 for the full day

My son has been with Steph for a year and a half and honestly can’t recommend Steph enough. It’s the highlight of my son’s week when he’s with Steph, he absolutely adores her. She is amazing with the children and does loads of different activities with them. She has welcomed my son into her home like he is part of the family. Would 100% recommend to any family looking for a childminder.

My daughter has been with Steph for just over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with the care she provides. Steph is not only kind and nurturing but also incredibly reliable and professional. Communication is always excellent
- I'm kept up to date and always teel reassured knowing my daughter is in such good hands.
One of the things I really appreciate is how much fun my daughter has while she's there. Whether it's creative play, outdoor time, or themed crafts, she always comes home happy and full of stories. Steph goes the extra mile by helping the children make thoughtful cards and crafts for special occasions like Mother's Day and Father's Day, which means so much.
It's clear that Steph genuinely cares about the children she looks after, and we feel so lucky to have found her. I'd highly recommend her to any parent looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging childminder.

Steph is a fabulous childminder who goes above and beyond. My daughter had been to other childcare settings in the past and has said herself Steph is by far the best! To Izzy she feels like extended family. I can't recommend her enough!
