Hi I am Steph, married with 2 beautiful children age 18 & 11. I have been working with children for 15 yr and been a childminding for 3 years now…. I was previously a manger of a childcare setting for 12 years.
We have lots of fun at my setting, meeting up with other childminders daily and going out to playgroups, parks, farms. If the weather is great we try to spend as much time as possible out.
My Experience
My experience working with children has been great. I have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding of children of all ages and abilities. Due to being made redundant in July 22, I have been working at an agency, working 1-2-1 with children with SEND and also working in a nursery school taking my own class of 12 children. I then started childminding in January 2023.
Each day I go to a different playgroups/ story time groups, meeting up with a few childminders, so children will see the same children each week, allowing them to have social interaction with others, than just the ones in my setting. If the weather is nice, I will stay out as much as possible, making the most of the lovely weather and going to different parks, farms, nature reserves. I have a big garden with lots for the children to do too. During the school holiday we will spend most days out too! With visits to the beach, paddling pool etc.
My Qualifications
I have a second class honours in professional development in early years and I did also complete the childminding course too. I have my paediatric first aid and safeguarding.

I have some availability for September 2026
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My fees are £50 for the full day

My little boy was with Steph for 4 weeks whilst he was in between leaving nursery and starting nursery school, he can be quite reserved to start with and get upset easily but he absolutely loved it. He would come home and tell everyone about his day whether that be going to the park, playing with other children, going to play group and what different things he had done with Steph and not once did Steph say he’d been overly upset cause he was very comfortable. Most mornings he’d run right in without even saying goodbye to me🤣. His only “problem” there is that he’d give Steph a mission with her food, deciding whether he did or didn't want to eat her food that day🙄 so we started sending him with a packed lunch alongside Steph’s snacks. She would always send me photos and updates throughout their day of what they’ve been doing to keep me in the loop. He’s not been with Steph for 3 weeks now and he still shouts at me pretty much daily that he wants to go to Stephs house. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Would 100% recommend Steph to anyone. Steph looked after my daughter from age 3 to 4. My little girl really misses going to Stephs now shes at school. The trips and activities Steph plans keeps them occupied whilst learning in fun environments. You're amazing Steph, any parent is lucky to have you looking after their children!!

Steph has been fantastic with my 4year old daughter. After having lots of life changing events, Steph has made her feel welcome and secure. She takes the children on outings and ensures they get plenty of outdoor time or exercise. Over the last 2 years I've seen amazing development in both my daughter's social and academic skills all thanks to Steph's patience and experience.
Steph's communication is excellent and she always provides updates and a detailed handover at pick up. As a single parent, I also appreciate her flexibility, it's been a lifesaver.
Steph has become an extension of my daughter's family and even now she's started school she still talks about Steph's house and how she misses it!

My son has been with steph a year, and she is incredible.
An outstanding childminder who truely goes above and beyond! My son is always happy, well cared for and excited to attend. Places, not only does steph care exceptionally for the children she cares for, she is also on top form when it comes letting me no, how my sons day had been, what he has been up too, nap time etc.

My son has been with Steph for a year and a half and honestly can’t recommend Steph enough. It’s the highlight of my son’s week when he’s with Steph, he absolutely adores her. She is amazing with the children and does loads of different activities with them. She has welcomed my son into her home like he is part of the family. Would 100% recommend to any family looking for a childminder.

My daughter has been with Steph for just over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with the care she provides. Steph is not only kind and nurturing but also incredibly reliable and professional. Communication is always excellent
- I'm kept up to date and always teel reassured knowing my daughter is in such good hands.
One of the things I really appreciate is how much fun my daughter has while she's there. Whether it's creative play, outdoor time, or themed crafts, she always comes home happy and full of stories. Steph goes the extra mile by helping the children make thoughtful cards and crafts for special occasions like Mother's Day and Father's Day, which means so much.
It's clear that Steph genuinely cares about the children she looks after, and we feel so lucky to have found her. I'd highly recommend her to any parent looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging childminder.

Steph is a fabulous childminder who goes above and beyond. My daughter had been to other childcare settings in the past and has said herself Steph is by far the best! To Izzy she feels like extended family. I can't recommend her enough!

We have been so lucky to have Steph in our lives. Our son absolutely adores her, and it’s easy to see why. She consistently goes above and beyond for the children in her care, creating a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where they truly thrive. Her kindness and genuine love for what she does shine through, from the great space she provides, trips she plans, to the gentle reassurance she offers (to both parents and kids!). She makes sure that every child feels special and valued and we couldn’t have asked for a lovelier childminder.

I couldn’t recommend Steph enough! She treated my little girl like one of her own and made her feel right at home. The children are well-supported in their development while having lots of fun doing a variety of activities, my daughter especially loves trips to the park and the outdoor swimming pool in the summer!
Steph sends daily updates with photos, so you can see what your child is up to, I loved seeing what a great time my daughter was having and reassured me during the settling in stage.
Steph and her family are so welcoming and caring, my daughter genuinely enjoys spending time at her lovely home and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for childcare.
