About Me
Hi I am Bethany and I am 30 years old. I am local to the Pogmoor/Barnsley Hospital area. I have worked with young children since leaving school and I have always been passionate about working with children in Early Years and of Primary age due to my Early Years and Primary Teaching background/experience. I am a very fun and enthusiastic person that provides lots of free-flow and child-initiated play, themes/ topics and days out that follow the EYFS curriculum. I believe a lot in life skills from a young age, resilience and independence where possible, and this is weaved into my EYFS curriculum. Children’s interests and preferences are always taken on board to be included within my provision. I am a very crafty and creative person so you can be sure we will always be making, creating, cooking and baking!
I have an indoor cat called Luna, and a pet policy in place. If your child is allergic to cats, they will NOT be able to attend my setting.

My Experience
I have an undergraduate degree in Early Years and a Primary Teaching degree with QTS. I opened my new childminding setting in September 2024 and I am Ofsted registered. I have 12 years experience of working with children 0-11, but I specialise in Early Years. I have 7 years experience as a Primary Teacher, mainly working in Nursery or Reception class. I have lots of SEND experience, especially with ASD and communication difficulties.
My Qualifications
Health and Social Care BTEC Level 3
BA (Hons) Early Years Level 6
Primary PGCE with QTS Level 7
My Availability
My current availability for June/July and September 2025 is below. I am located in Pogmoor, 5 minutes walk from Barnsley Hospital and 2 minutes from the motorway.
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6 per hour plus consumables.
Holiday “cub” availability too at day rate.
Additional charges apply for days out in the community.

- I provide pick ups at Summer Lane Primary School
