Looking for someone special to join & support our happy little family
About Me
New Full Time Role September 2026
We’re looking for a lovely Nanny / Family Assistant to join our little family and become a valued part of our everyday lives.
We have two children, aged 7 and 3, and we’re a busy, happy and fairly relaxed family. We love being outdoors when weather permits, days out, and holidaying in the UK and abroad. We’d love someone who genuinely enjoys that kind of family life.
We’re looking for an extra pair of hands and right-hand wingman — someone warm and nurturing with the children, but also confident, highly organised, proactive and happy to muck in and go with the flow in a busy home.
The role is full time, approximately 37–40 hours per week, with exact hours and days negotiable for the right person. Core days must include Tuesdays and Wednesdays, including into the early evening due to the after-school activities. Other hours/days can be agreed together as regular/set days for term time. Consolidated days will be considered and up to 50 hours per week can be offered .
Genuine flexibility during school holidays is really important to us. As you’d expect during school holidays, days and hours may change depending on our plans, holidays and travel. Everything is planned well in advance and collaboratively, and flexibility works both ways. This may occasionally include weekends when we’re travelling in the UK or abroad. We also have another wonderful nanny who helps support our family during school holidays, so plans and childcare can be shared between us.
Nanny duties include:
* School/nursery runs
* Activities
* Prepping family meals
* Children’s laundry
* Homework
* Keeping their bedrooms/playroom organised
* Most importantly, having fun with them — days out, swimming, adventures and getting outdoors
The Family Assistant duties involve simply helping with everyday family life and keeping things running smoothly — keeping things organised, errands/shopping, and mucking in wherever needed. This could include helping decorate for Halloween and Christmas!
We do have a weekly cleaner/housekeeper, so this is not a cleaning role, but we’d hope that general help keeping the house ticking over is planned for.
We travel as a family approximately four times a year, in the UK and abroad, and need someone genuinely happy to travel with us. We love camping/lodge trips and family festivals in summer months, and travel abroad in the winter months, so ideally someone who likes visiting new places and sees that as part of the fun and not a chore .
Most importantly, we’re looking for the right personality — and we’re happy to wait for the right person. We’d like someone warm, confident, extremely reliable and fun, who takes initiative and is genuinely flexible and adaptable to family life. And someone with proven commitment to a family.
You’ll need to be an experienced and confident driver with a clean licence. Applicants must be aged 25+ due to the insurance requirements for our family car. An automatic car will be provided for the role, so candidates must be confident driving an automatic or willing to give it a try. It really is easy to drive.
We’re also happy to consider self-employed individuals who may be looking for a shorter-term role at £20 per hour, for an immediate start.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch and tell me a little about yourself, your experience and whether you’re looking for a permanent employed position or a shorter-term self-employed role.
Thanks for reading and we look forward to hearing from you
