About Me – Augusta, Ofsted-Registered Childminder
My name is Augusta, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in Battersea. I also hold public liability insurance.
I have a genuine passion for caring for children and creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they feel happy, secure, and valued. My aim is to provide a welcoming home-from-home setting where young children can play, explore, learn new skills, develop their confidence, and thrive.
I live in a smoke-free household, and all adult members of my family have undergone DBS checks. I understand the importance of safeguarding children and providing parents with peace of mind that their little ones are in a caring and secure environment.
I look forward to supporting each child’s learning, development, and well-being through fun activities, play, and positive experiences.
My Experience
My Experience in Childcare
I have a wealth of experience in childcare, having worked as a childminding assistant in a Montessori setting in Streatham for over a year. I also worked as a nursery assistant at The Weir Link Nursery in Balham for six months and have eight years of experience working as a nanny.
These experiences have helped me develop a strong understanding of children’s needs and how to support their learning, development and well-being in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.

My Availability
Working Hours, Availability and Funded Childcare
My working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. I also provide childcare during half-term breaks and school holidays.
Government-Funded Childcare
As an Ofsted-registered childminder, I offer 15- and 30-hour government-funded childcare for eligible children, subject to availability and the applicable funding arrangements.
I welcome enquiries from parents who would like to use their funded childcare hours. Please contact me to discuss your child’s eligibility and the options available.
Additional Hours and Charges
Childcare required outside my usual working hours, including evenings and other unsociable hours, may incur an additional charge. Any applicable charges will be discussed and agreed with parents in advance.
Funded childcare hours will be provided in accordance with the applicable government and local authority funding requirements.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Childminding from 8am to 6pm is £10 per hour
Drop and pick up from school all including from £13per hour

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Augusta -she is truly an exceptional childminder. From the moment our 2-year-old daughter started with her, it was clear how much care, attention, and genuine warmth Augusta brings to her role every single day.
Augusta creates a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that has helped our daughter thrive. She provides a wonderful range of toys and thoughtfully planned activities that keep her engaged, learning, and having fun.
One of the things we appreciate most is the regular updates—Augusta sends photos and videos throughout the day, which gives us real peace of mind. We can clearly see how happy, active, and well cared for our daughter is, which means so much to us.
Her home-cooked meals are another highlight; always healthy, balanced, and made with care. Augusta is also incredibly attentive and communicates brilliantly, keeping us informed and always taking the time to share how our daughter is doing.
Most importantly, our daughter absolutely loves going to Augusta’s. She lights up when she arrives and looks forward to seeing her, which says everything about the wonderful bond they’ve built.
We couldn’t recommend Augusta highly enough, we are so thankful to have found her.
