Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am a ofsted registered childminder based in Brighton Hill.
my childminding setting is called
' Yellow Bees childminding ' .
I am a qualified NNEB nursery nurse and have over 28 years of childcare experience working in nurseries and as a private nanny caring for children from newborn to 12 + and I now run my own childminding setting.
I have first aid training, food hygiene , DBS certificate ,DSL safeguarding, and all the relevant training required.
I am married and have two sons aged 10 years and 5.
Childcare is my passion, and I offer a loving, safe,fun, home from home setting where your children can thrive .
I provide a variety of activities and play opportunities for babies and children to explore , learn, and develop.
I have a nice garden for the children to play and get plenty of fresh air and exercise, and i take the children on walks to the park and places of interest .
Breakfast and snacks are included in my hourly rate.
I also provide lots of baking and cooking activities for the children to enjoy.
I am flexible and am happy to discuss your childcare needs to see if I can help
I am open Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 6 p.m .
I accept government funding and tax-free childcare.
I also collect from Chalkridge primary school.

- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£6.00 an hour, which includes breakfast and snacks.
After school care 3-6 p.m session £15
Baby sitting £12 an hour
school holiday care £7.50 an hour
I accept childcare choices tax free childcare and funding.

Our daughter started just before her first birthday and stayed until she was ready for school, and she loved going to Gemma’s. Even now, she still talks about her time there and often asks when she can go back!
The environment provided was very much a home environment but with activities provided that were thoughtful and perfectly suited to her age as she grew. She developed and progressed well with the support from Gemma.
We really appreciated the regular updates and photos throughout the day; it was so reassuring to see what she was getting up to and made us feel part of her day.
We are grateful for the care, the environment and support she received during those formative years.
I’m also grateful I have a safe and welcoming place for her to go should I need help during the school holidays.

Gemma has been looking after my daughter since she was 10 months old. My daughter loves Gemma. She always walks in happy and keen to go in and play. Gemma sends lots of photos during the day so we can see what our daughter is doing. She keeps us updated on everything, which is very reassuring. Our daughter has come on such a long way since starting, thanks to Gemma. She’s also great with advice, as first time parents, her advice and support has been fab. She is amazing as a childminder, would highly recommend.

Gemma has been looking after my son since he was around 10 months old, and I honestly couldn’t ask for anyone better. She is brilliant with him — caring, patient, and full of creative and fun ideas that keep the children engaged and happy. My son feels so comfortable with her that he even calls her “Mummy,” which says everything about how safe and loved he feels in her care.
He has also found a best friend in Gemma’s son, who is the same age as him. They get along so well and have built such a special bond, which makes going to Gemma’s even more exciting for him.
Gemma provides such a warm, nurturing environment where the kids can learn, play, and grow with confidence. She always goes above and beyond, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. I’m so grateful to have found her — she’s truly one of a kind.
