My Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, honest and caring nanny to look after our three children four days a week on a permanent basis.

Who we are:

Our eldest daughter is almost five and is settling into reception at Clare House School. She is smart and spirited, loves reading and being read to, playing with Barbies/Sylvanians, baking and arts & crafts (and watching TV…naturally!).

Our middle daughter will be three in May. She currently attends pre-school two days a week (moving to three days from April). She is a very high energy, sweet natured and incredibly chatty little girl. She loves arts & crafts, going to the playground, her swimming and ballet lessons and playing with (/manhandling) her baby brother.

Last but not least, a baby boy – who is just ten months old and adjusting well to youngest kid life! He’s a very smiley, easy-going baby, who adores his sisters…almost as much as he loves food (which is the only time he really loses his temper…he’s not a baby who likes to be kept waiting for his meals!).

All three of our children are funny, engaged and very talkative (even the baby – who compensates for his lack of vocabulary with a lot of volume!).

We live in Beckenham, not far from Clare House. The kids are in a good routine with swimming lessons / playgroup / afterschool clubs etc. but are also open to trying new things! Mum is a partner in a law firm, Dad is an insurance broker.

We are looking for a nanny who:

• Is enthusiastic about, and loves her job (and kids).
• Is energetic, honest, trustworthy and reliable.
• Will instil good manners and good behaviour in the kids.
• Has a passion for bringing out the best in children.
• Is patient but firm with the children, particularly with discipline/boundaries etc.
• Is inventive in terms of activities / wet-weather pursuits / school holiday plans etc.
• Can cook varied and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Can adapt between and proactively manage the competing needs of an intellectually curious five year old, adventurous three year old and [personality TBD] baby/toddler.

We need a permanent nanny four days a week (Monday – Thursday). Our ideal hours would be 7:45am – 7:15pm on three days, with a shorter fourth day (8am – 6:30pm). However, we have some flexibility on hours for the right candidate (either longer or shorter).

The role is available from the middle of March, and ideally by 13th April to allow for handover with our current nanny.
