About Me
Since the age of 16 I have been a swimming teacher, helping children from the age 3 to be safe and have fun in the water whilst learning a key life skill.
We lived in Edinburgh for three year, where I carried this on until I acquired a role as a nursery assistant with a private day nursery. This has given me the skills needed to become a great family nanny with knowledge I can implement throughout the role. I also have experience working children and young people with ASD and ADHD.
I am a kind, caring and creative soul who is passionate about the benefits the great outdoors can have on children and young people. I spend a lot of my spare time exploring new places and think being outside and active can create great learning experiences for children.
I have worked for three families as a sole care nanny and their references are available upon request.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience working with children within various different roles. I began as a swimming teacher teaching children from the age of 3 how to be safe and have fun in water.
Then I moved on to a secondary school working with young people with ADHD and ASD. I planned lessons around social skills, maths and literacy based on their interest and abilities.
When we moved to Edinburgh I acquired a job within a nursery working primarily with children from the age of 12 months. Here, i create daily activities to encourage the children's development and ensure they are having great fun learning about the world around them.
From November 2023 - February 2024 I worked with a family nannying for their 2 children. A reference is available from then upon request.
May 2024- September 2024 I worked with a family with 2 children - a 2 year old boy and a new born baby girl.
My husband and I then moved to Cyprus for a year where I worked in a secondary school supporting young people in a small MOD school.
Since moving back to the UK in 2025 I have been working as a nanny again along side working for nursery agency until moving back up to the North East in May 2026.
