About Me

Hi, I'm Emily, a qualified primary teacher currently training as a mental health practitioner for children. I have over 3 years of teaching experience and hold a PGCE with QTS in primary education. I also have a Social Sciences degree in Anthropology from the University of Manchester. I have worked in schools across all key stages but specialise in KS2, year 5/6. I have a range of experience working with 11+ students and towards SATs prep. I am a friendly, responsible individual who loves working with children and engaging with people on a daily basis. I love cycling, running and swimming and generally being in the outdoors.

My Experience

My experience is working within primary schools across Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol. I have worked as a 1:1 in a SEN environment and have taught classes of up to 32 students across the primary curriculum. I taught for a year in Y5/6, preparing them for SATs and I am familiar with the 11+ entrance exams. I ensure that when I teach, I create a warm, secure environment where children feel safe and confident to learn.

My Qualifications

BSocSc in Social Anthropology, 3 A Levels in Psychology, Biology and Geography, GCSE's including maths and English, Enhanced DBS check
QTS with PGCE.

My Availability

I am available most evenings during the week for private tutoring after 5pm. On Tuesdays, I am free from 3pm.
