I'm looking for a Registered Childminder.
Hello
I am looking for a local childminder from December 2026 for my daughter who will be turning 1 at this point when I return to work. I’m looking for an experienced childminder with a safe home setting, because I also need to get my 5 year old son to Wyborne School ideally in walking distance from our home close to the B&Q on Footscray Road, and who potentially services Wyborne School (not essential but would be handy). I haven’t yet confirmed my working days but expect it to likely be Tuesday-Friday 8-4.30/ 9-5. I’ll be looking to use 30 hours free childcare and topping up myself where necessary. I appreciate it’s a while off but would be grateful to hear from any childminders who think they may be a good fit.

Mandy has looked after my little boy since he was 10 months old. Moving into a new area, going back to work and leaving him was so difficult, but as soon as we met Mandy in her beautiful home she made things feel so much less daunting and we knew he was going to be genuinely cared for by this lovely lady. My little boy is now 3 and has absolutely thrived in Mandy’s care, he’s had so many milestones with her and she has created a beautiful record of everything in a book of pictures. Not only does she have a fantastic home environment that’s kitted out as well as a nursery, she takes her children out to experience different environments - the circus, fabulous parks, summer and Christmas parties and so many brilliant playgroups where they can mix with other children. We’ve decided to keep our son with Mandy rather than pre-school because she provides such a well rounded day and the flexibility of hours she can offer. I would completely recommend Mandy and Flamingo Childcare to any parent, we will all miss her massively and when it comes to school time!
