AFTER SCHOOL NANNY. Hi, I'm an experienced and qualified childcare professional, I have availability for after school pick-up's in the Woking area. I have been working in childcare for over 25 years, so I have seen it all, and still love them !!!
I am married with 2 grown up sons, I have a full clean driving licence with business insurance, I don't smoke and I like to keep active, I believe children learn best through play, with lots of exciting activities planned both indoors and outside.
I am very reliable and committed to my work, I am calm, easy going, respectful, patient and supportive, and enjoy teaching enquiring minds, I have a good sense of humour, and I am always happy and smiling, I have been told I have the patience of a saint.
My Experience
I am currently the manager of a small term time pre-school, I only work in the mornings, so have availability to do after school pick-ups. I have worked as a nanny for several lovely families, and I'm experience in working with SEN children, I have also worked as a teaching assistant so fully understand the EYFS. I can support parents by helping your children with their homework, cooking tea, organizing the children ready for their next school day, taking them to age appropriate clubs and activities. I have experience of working with all age groups from new born upwards.
My Qualifications
CACHE level 3 Diploma in pre-school practice
Full Paediatric first aid course (12 hours)
NVQ level 3 in management
Over the years I have attended various workshops, done online training courses, and in-house training for Early years foundation stage training, child protection, SENCO support, behaviour problems and sleep training to name but a few.
I also have an enhanced DBS

Lorraine has been looking after my two small daughters, Evie and Annie, since the start of this year (2013).
Her services to us as a family and the level of care she has offered to our children have been second to none. She is very experienced and finds the balance between fun and more structured activities, always in a nurturing environment. She has endless energy for trips to the park; lots of patience for helping and guiding. Evie and Annie have activities every day but she also recognises the need for quiet time and rest and lots of story-telling. Also, importantly, she remains calm and level-headed when faced with a challenging situation.
Both my daughters love her dearly and she has quickly become part of our family. The only reason we are parting company near the end of this year is because of a personal decision to take a break from a demanding career and devote some time to being a mummy. Had this not been the case we would have no doubt retained her services for a few years yet.
I would recommend Lorraine unreservedly and will happily provide a more detailed reference upon request.
