My Experience
My experience in childcare started with babysitting in Madrid, where I was looking after 2 brothers (3 and 6 years old). Later, in London, I worked full-time as au-pair for a family taking care of a 3 years old, who is now 5 for almost 2 years. In the meanwhile, I was also babysitting for other families living nearby where I was living. During the lockdown, I was supporting the little girl with her schoolwork by teaching and tutoring, as well as by carrying out activities related to the different topics. Moreover, I was cooking, helping her with the shower and carrying out light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up her room, changing the bedsheets, doing her laundry, etc. After this experience, I have started working as Live in nanny for a family based in Wimbledon,. I have been looking after two girls, by taking them to school in the morning and picking them up after school. I plan playdates, I support them with their homework and I like to ensure they have different activities and playtime within a routine. I enjoy teaching them Spanish and the girls are really loving the classes! Also with the role I am working at the moment I am taking care of one boy who is 4 years old since June-2022 and sometimes I work as a volunteer in creche in Fullham with kids between 9 months until 3 years old. In general, I am a really easy person to live with. I am always positive and resolutive and I am an open minded person. On the one hand, I make sure the family has its own space respecting their needs and routines. On the other hand, I enjoy sharing moments with the family and being treated as a friend more than just as an employee. I really care about the children I look after, and I make sure they are happy and they feel confortable with me, trying to build a relationship of trust.
My Qualifications
I have a paediatric first aid training and certificate. I have a DBS check. I also have a certificate for a volunteering experience as youth worker in a summer camp in Spain.
