About Me
We are Leah & Simone an OFSTED registered mother and daughter childminding team. We offer a friendly and welcoming home from home environment. We encourage the children to explore and learn through play and activities provided as well as days out and local trips to ensure that they are kept part of the community.
We provide full time and part time childcare options for children aged 6 weeks and older. This also includes school holiday care for school age children. We are not available on bank holidays.
Extensive childcare experience and personal experiences with autism.
We provide healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children in our setting (Subject to contracted hours) and we have a vegetable patch where we encourage and help the children to grow their own vegetables and learn the importance of good nutrition.
We follow government guidance on advice regarding illnesses to ensure that both children and adults in our setting are kept safe.
We are registered for tax-free childcare; we provide funded hours during school term time only and are also registered for some childcare voucher schemes. Please contact us for further information and availability.
My Experience
I am a mum of 3 children aged between 5 & 8 years I have had various experience in the childcare sector and have been childminding for the last 3.5 years.
I work alongside my mum Simone, who is also an ofsted registered childminder and who previously spent many years working in a school as a teacher.

My daughter has been attending the setting for over a year and what great experience I am having with the childminder. Leah and Simone are so lovely and welcoming that my girl loves going to the setting. I was nervous to use childminder as previously I had a nanny but this was the best decision I made. My daughter gets a great care and can interact/ play with other children but still being able to get the proper care. I couldn’t ask for a better childminder. They also offer school holiday that my son attends from time to time and he also loves it…

Thank you so much for your lovely review! Your children have brought so much energy and joy to our setting, they truly feel like a part of our little family. We’re so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us
I was very nervous about sending my son to a childminder at just 10 months old, but Leah and Simone were so supportive throughout the whole process. They allowed me visits prior to making my decision, answered all my questions and made me feel confident and reassured. My son loves going, he’s made friends with the other children. He has access to a wide variety of toys and activities. He is often taken out for park visits, or trips to the sea life centre as an example. There is lots of arts and crafts and party fun around celebration months. The weekly trips to forest school are something I couldn’t offer to him from home. He is happy to go in and full of stories and smiles on pick up. Leah and Simone are able to adapt to changes to collection times and this is really helpful to fit around my working hours. Their recent 2 year check was so thorough and perfectly summed up my son, so I know they understand him. I honestly couldn’t have gone back to work and stayed in work without them.
