About Me
We are Leah & Simone an OFSTED registered mother and daughter childminding team. We offer a friendly and welcoming home from home environment. We encourage the children to explore and learn through play and activities provided as well as days out and local trips to ensure that they are kept part of the community.
We provide full time and part time childcare options for children aged 6 weeks and older. This also includes wraparound care and school holiday care for school age children. We are not available on bank holidays.
Extensive childcare experience and personal experiences with autism.
We provide healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children in our setting (Subject to contracted hours) and we have a vegetable patch where we encourage and help the children to grow their own vegetables and learn the importance of good nutrition.
We follow government guidance on advice regarding illnesses to ensure that both children and adults in our setting are kept safe.
We are registered for tax-free childcare; we provide funded hours during school term time only and are also registered for some childcare voucher schemes. Please contact us for further information and availability.
We can provide school drop offs and pick ups to Sacred Heart Primary School and Porters Grange primary School. We can also provide picks ups and drop offs to Thorpehall and Alleyn Court in Thorpebay
My Experience
I initially started my childcare journey during college when I completed a National Diploma in Childrens Care Learning and Development, this also consisted of several work experience placements in a nursery, primary school and special needs school. I then went on to have various roles in the administrative sector before having my own children. I have spent the last 3.5 years being a full time mum whilst completing the qualifications to become a registered Childminder and having babysitting experience.
