About Me
I am a very passionate and kind person. I have lots of experience working with children and young people and it's the type of work I enjoy the most. This especially when I have an opportunity to educate on history, heritage and culture. I am very passionate about history both ancient and modern. I have plenty of life experience and have lived and traveled all over the world including New York when I carried out an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I currently work at a local museum and have a background in Ancient Egypt and Irish history.
My Experience
I volunteered for a year at the University of Swansea's Egypt Centre as an Education Assistant working with primary school groups. I also have experience working with children aged 5 to 11 at an after school club in Carryduff. Lastly I do extensive work with Cruse Bereavement Care and have worked with children and young people from 12 to 25 in various projects.
My Qualifications
I have a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology, an MA in Ancient Egyptian Culture and an MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies. I also have completed counseling and first aid training.
My Availability
My availability would be evenings during the week and at the weekend. I currently work full time so cannot be flexible during the working day.
