About Me
I am a very passionate and kind person. I have lots of experience working with children and young people and it's the type of work I enjoy the most. This especially when I have an opportunity to educate on history, heritage and culture. I am very passionate about history both ancient and modern. I have plenty of life experience and have lived and traveled all over the world including New York when I carried out an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I currently work part time at the National Trust which will sometimes affect my availability (more details below).
My Experience
I volunteered for a year at the University of Swansea's Egypt Centre as an Education Assistant working with primary school groups. I also have experience working with children aged 5 to 11 at an after school club in Carryduff. Lastly I do extensive work with Cruse Bereavement Care and have worked with children and young people from 12 to 25 in various projects.
My Qualifications
I have a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology, an MA in Ancient Egyptian Culture and I am finishing another MA in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies. I also have completed counseling and first aid training.
My Availability
My availability would be before school and evenings during the week and at the weekend. I work approximately two shifts a week with the National Trust from 10am to 4pm so there could be some flexibility on weekdays during the day as well as after school if need be, depending on my rota.
