About Me
Hi, I'm Adam and we are a family of 4 (and a dog) looking for some help carong for our 2 boys (6 and 9).
Our youngest has a rare genetic condition which causes both physical and learning disabilities, meaning he is non verbal and in a wheelchair. As you can imagine, this makes finding childcare more difficult and so we are looking to find the right person to be part of our "village" and help us out.
SEN experience is not required, as long as you're happy to learn his ways and get stuck in. He has no extra medical needs, so no specialist training is required. He's a happy boy and has worked out his own way to communicate his wants and needs, as well as a surprisingly effecting "bum shuffle" for getting around.
A typical day with the kids for us would probably involve a walk out in the countryside, possibly to a park (or cafe for cake!), then playing some board games or watching a film at home.
We live in Islip, so being able to drive would be necessary - we can provide a car though if required.
My Requirements
We are looking to find the right person, and so can be really flexible on days / times. We would want to set up something regular, so that the kids get to know you, it that could be after school, or an evening if that worked better. We also would like school holiday cover if possible.
If you're interested please reach out and let's have a chat.
