Full-Time Nanny And Mother’s Help Needed, East Sheen, Sw14
About Me
Full-time Nanny/Mother's Help needed, East Sheen,
SW14 (5 year old girl, 3 year old boy and newborn baby girl)
My Requirements
Role Brief: Nanny-Mother’s help (Live-Out)
Overview:
We are a busy, active family of five (as of next week!) looking for a proactive, engaging, and warm Nanny to join our household ASAP. This is a "Mother’s Help" style dynamic; Mum will be home with the newborn, so we are looking for a teammate who can balance childcare for our two older children, helping with newborn when needed and ensuring the smooth running of our family home.
The Family
• Children: Three children (Age 5, Age 3, and a Newborn arriving next week).
• Dynamics: The older two are very active and attend school/pre-school.
• Environment: We are a welcoming household looking for someone who feels like part of the family. We value a "chatty and engaging" personality but also need someone who can maintain firm boundaries and structure for the older children, and has the ability to read the room and be discreet when needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Childcare: Providing high-energy engagement for the 5 and 3-year-olds
(afternoons/school holidays) and assisting Mum with the newborn when required, including to help implement age-appropriate routines.
. Expect the role with the baby to become more of a focus over time, for example, attending baby classes, feeding, nap routines, weaning etc.
• House Maintenance: Proactively managing the "engine" of the home. This includes keeping shared areas tidy, kitchen maintenance (unloading dishwasher, etc.), and managing family laundry.
• School Runs: Assisting with drop-offs/pick-ups.
• Systems: We are happy for the right candidate to implement their own organizational systems for laundry and tidying.
Candidate Requirements
• Experience: Junior to Mid-level, but must have some newborn experience.
• Personality: High-energy, proactive (sees what needs to be done without a checklist), and a great communicator.
• Driving: A driver with their own vehicle is preferred (mileage/allowance to be discussed), though we are open to candidates comfortable using public transport/bus for school runs.
• Logistics: Must be comfortable working alongside Mum in a collaborative way.
. Candidate should like dogs, as we have one small cavalier King Charles spaniel!
Schedule & Compensation
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30 (50 hours/week).
. Salary: to be negotiated
• Type: Live-out.
• Start Date: ASAP / Immediate.
• Note: We retain a weekly cleaner for deep-cleaning duties; this role focuses on daily maintenance and laundry.

Jane came to our rescue during the first few months of life with 'two under two'! She was an incredible help to me during this time and not only helped me to look after both little people, but she was also kind and considerate making sure I was looking after myself too. Which is what every new mum needs in their life. She has abundant energy, was always punctual and reliable. If you want someone who puts 100% into their job, then look no further. From the minute she arrived in the morning, it was action stations and although the job was incredibly physically demanding at times (with a super energetic toddler (occasionally prone to terrible twos...) and newborn), she remained unflappable. My two year old got a lot out of our 'Jane days' and particularly loved her creative flair. Lots of cute touches such as teddy bear tea parties, fun ways to eat food and some of the best elf of the shelf work i've seen around! My toddler still asks me now 'where's jane?!'. Would definitely recommend to other families looking for a trustworthy nanny.
We initially used Leah when my little boy had been hospitalised with Bronchiolitis and i was in desperate need of some respite when we got home. Leah was brilliant in allowing me some much needed time to rest and was very confident with our son. She was a calming presence on him. We loved having her around so much that we have had her back intermittently since that initial stint. I think she been back four times now! For different reasons, from getting him to take a bottle, routine, sleep training and sometimes just to give me a night or two off! We'd definitely recommend her to families who want someone is calm, collected and loving. She is a natural with babies and clearly has lots of practical experience. Our toddler is also a big fan of hers and she was a lovely presence in our home on her most recent stay, when she came to provide me with extra help when my husband was away for a week with work. She is always missed the minute she leaves :)
