Part Time Nanny Job In London Borough Of Richmond Upon Thames
About Me
We’re a kind and loving Christian family, living in Barnes with our two young boys. We keep active and healthy, we love music, sport and travel, we work hard, we’re organised and we have a tidy house - most of the time! As a valued member of our household, our nanny will be someone who shares our values, is diligent and responsible, and for whom looking after our sons is a vocation, not just a job.
Our boys are both sociable, fascinated by the world and full of smiles. We try to nurture their curiosity by providing a fun and stimulating environment. We’d like our nanny to do the same, whilst keeping them safe and happy. Both love learning and our eldest attends a French/English bilingual school. We would like a nanny who will speak to the children in French only.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a caring, skilled and responsible French-speaking nanny to look after our eldest son, who has just turned five, starting as soon as possible, and from June, also our youngest son, who will then be one.
DAYS AND HOURS
We require a live-out, part-time nanny, who will have sole charge of our son(s) (both my husband and I work full time). Specific requirements are:
Until June 2026: Monday and Thursday afternoons (3.15-7.15pm) and Wednesday afternoons (1.40-7.10pm) during term time, and two full days (8.30am-6.30/7pm) during school holidays (ideally Monday and Thursday, but with some flexibility).
From June 2026: Monday and Thursday full days (8am-6.30pm) and one afternoon (4 hours, likely Tuesday, but with some flexibility).
We’d appreciate flexibility to adjust hours/days from time to time.
DUTIES
Duties will include caring for and playing with the children, collecting our eldest from school (until June 2026, in Fulham, and from September 2026, in Battersea) and assisting with his homework, taking the children to classes, preparing meals for them, doing their laundry, keeping children’s areas in the home tidy, and encouraging their development and communication in French.
REQUIREMENTS
Our nanny must be legally permitted to work in the UK and will be formally on payroll (with statutory holiday pay and other statutory benefits). We would like a non-smoker, and who is COVID-19 vaccinated. Driving licence preferred. Our nanny must have appropriate childcare qualifications (including paediatric first aid) and DBS check, fluency (preferably native) in French, and ideally experience with babies and young children.
