About Me
I’m mother to an eleven year old son, who is an outgoing, friendly, and inquisitive boy. He’s mischievous and makes everyone laugh. He’s tactile and loves to be outdoors and spend time with animals.
He has complex needs including a profound learning disability, autism, ADHD and sensory processing difficulties. He is incontinent and requires personal care support.
He has no sense of danger, and is very mobile, and so requires one to one support at all times to maintain his safety.
There are times when he becomes overwhelmed and distressed as he struggles with emotional regulation and he can lash out. We’re looking for someone who can stay calm, recognise the behaviour is communication and support him to stay safe and regulate. Resilience, patience and a sense of humour are required!
We are a family of four (have a six year old daughter also) and live with our two cats and a dog.
My Requirements
Multiple PA or Nannies needed. We’re looking for several people to support us at varying times during the day (before and after school and through the day at weekends and school holidays). You don’t need to have a vast amount of SEN experience but do need to be calm, patient and willing to get stuck in!
Time to be spent in the home and also out on trips. Hours to be managed by agreement over school holidays.
